I built the tool I wanted to write in.
I’m Morgan Bishop: a writer and worldbuilder with an English Literature degree, a background in tech and a fantasy trilogy that has been quietly consuming my spare hours for longer than I’d care to admit.
I wanted one place for the manuscript, characters, lore, timelines, locations, maps, relationships and all the half-formed notes around them. YOW grew from that very personal mess.
The manuscript used to live in one app. Worldbuilding lived across documents and spreadsheets. Important details were forever hiding in whichever tab I had closed.
Your Own World puts the manuscript at the centre, with the world around it close enough to consult without losing your place. It is independently built by an actual writer — not a huge software company pretending otherwise.

Most worldbuilding tools treat writing as secondary. Your Own World treats the manuscript as the centre of gravity — the worldbuilding tools exist to serve the story, not the other way around.

Useful software people can own
YOW is sold for what it can do today, not on promises about a distant roadmap. Cloud sync is there when it helps, but a Lifetime licence does not disappear because someone decides they no longer need hosted storage.
